How To Add an Author Signature At The Foot Of A Post

by Russell

Add the author signature to the foot of the post using the Genesis Club plugin. You can set up signatures on all posts automatically or on a post by post basis.

Create an Image File For Your Signature

Firstly set up a signature at My Live Signature and follow the instructions. Within a couple of minutes you should have downloaded you signature.

Choose a signature size of around 400px by 200px or smaller if you prefer to be more discreet.

Add Your Signature To The Genesis Club Plugin

Then go to Your Profile, scroll down to the Signatures section at the foot of the page and upload the signature file.

You can also set the option here to have your signature appear automatically on all your posts.

Individual Post Signature Settings

Then if you want to hide the signature on specific posts you can do so in the Author Signature Settings section.

If your default is NOT to show signatures then the checkbox above has a different label as the clicking the checkbox shows rather than hides the signature.

Author Signature Shortcode

I have add the shortcode gc-sig which when written is square brackets will display the author signature. This is useful if you want to display the signature at a location other than the foot of the post. An example of this would be when you want to add a PS beneath the signature.

I hope you enjoy using the Author Signature feature of the Genesis Club plugin!
